Hudson River Watershed Upkeep
PolyGone is collaborating with New York Sea Grant (NYSG) and Center for the Urban River at Beczak (CURB) to launch a three-year project, monitoring and analyzing microplastic pollutants in Hudson River and looking to provide support for future remediation.
This project aims to: firstly, understand the baseline condition of the river pollution through advanced sampling; secondly, deploy full-scale monitoring system to categorize and identify the microplastic pollutants in the river.
This project also involves student internship programs and community engagement plans to educate the public about the emerging threat of microplastic pollution, establishing long-term collaborations to maintain and improve river environment.
