PolyGone Attends International Microplastic Symposium (6/30/22)

The ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) International Symposium on Microplastics took place in Seattle. Researchers from various fields including industry, academia and national institutions gathered for conversations on microplastic sample collection, preparation and analysis. Protocols, automation and pitfalls were extensively discussed. There are many challenges ahead for standardizing the definition and quantification of microplastics. Information from this ASTM symposium will help us rethink and upgrade our own quantification procedures.
