The first quarter-scale prototype is completed (8/20/2021)

PolyGone co-founders Nathaniel Banks and Yidian Liu built a scale model of the redesigned fiberglass frame for the Plastic Hunter, a nature-based device for capturing microplastics from waterways.

The construction process involved using design software to model the frame, physically milling out the mold, and sanding down fiberglass on their apartment balcony. By doing this, they were able to produce a beautiful prototype and dramatically reduce the manufacturing cost. Now, onto testing!
